What is your favourite childhood toy?

Jayne from http://countrycottagechic.blogspot.com/ has invited us all to do a post about our favourite childhood teddy or doll etc with a photo either a "then " or "now" if you still have the teddy or doll. I thought that this was such a wonderful idea and decided to join in. Hope you all will too. Just leave a message on her blog so that everyone can find you.

I would like to introduce you all to "Golden Teddy" I have had him for as long as I can remember, can't even remember where he came from he has just always been there for me. We have been all over the countryside together, even quite a few trips over to New Zealand, now he prefers to stay at home with his mates.

These are his mates, couldn't tell you what their names are don't even know which one is my husbands and which is his brothers (I don't know if Paul really can't remember or if he just doesn't want to admit to it).

I hope you will all join in, it has been fun reminiscing.

Cheers,

Oh must go and take a photo of my teddy to join in too, hope to find time this week at least!

I once had a doll which I adored. Growing up, I use to live in a communist country, so getting that doll in the first place was a miracle in itself. When my parents left the country, I had to leave my precious doll behind. I still remember her with sadness, fond memories, and joy at the same time. My cousin kept that doll and promised me she would take good care of her. Today, after more than 30 years, she still writes to tell me that my precious doll is waiting for me... :(

Happy day to you

And what a sweet little bear! I had a bear when I was young, Sir Teddy. Yep, very original. :)

Golden Teddy and his friends look very comfortable sitting together on your bed. I wish I had an old bear from my childhood, fancy you having three. I can't even remember having one, but I suppose I must have had. Thanks for popping over to my blog, I always love to receive comments. I have added you to my sidebar. x

Hi Linda,

Your teddy is so wonderful! Just the way I like them, obviously loved and adored for years! I don't have a teddy from childhood and I can't remember ever really playing with them, lol! I had lots of dolls mostly, my cabbage patch is now 23 years old, I'll see if I can find her over at my parents' house!

So glad your order arrived quickly and that you enjoyed it. Hope your two sick boys get well too! Also thanks for adding me to your faves, yes of course that is all right, LOL! Going to add you now so I don't miss any more of your fun posts!

Hey Linda! Thanks for popping in in to visit my blog from Kerryanne's - aren't her cupcakes fantastic!!! Being a bear designer/maker/collecter I just LOOOOOOVED your bears! I have my husband's bear that looks as well-loved as yours (similar fabric, too) but my well-meaning Mum gave my childhood bear to the church creche when she thought I'd outgrown him! Sob! I do, however have a home-sewn corduroy(spelt wrong??) sausage dog called "Sam" who went on all of my adventures with me. He looks a little worse for wear, is missing the end of his tail, but he now presides over the collection of old toys in my spare room and loves his comfy retirement! Hope to see you again soon and will be back o visit you for sure! CHEERS! KRIS
